Magnetic Beads: Speed and Efficiency for Advanced Separation Processes
Our proprietary superparamagnetic bead technology based on high-surface agarose resins builds the key component of our MAG-SP platform. The uniquely design of our beads allows for high magnetization and zero magnetic remanences resulting in excellent characteristics for large scale processing and rapid resuspension of the bead with minimal power input. Our magnetic beads harness the advantages of batch adsorption to rapidly recover biologics and other biomolecules directly from crude and complex feeds, eliminating the need of clarification.
Our magnetic beads are highly porous and provide a large available surface area (50m2/ml) resulting in exceptional high binding capacities. MAGic™ Beads provide consistent and fast magnetic separation at various volumes from µL to thousands of liters, because of their super-paramagnetic characteristics (40emu/g). Additionally, the magnetic beads offer a high degree of customizability and can be tailored to the specific processing needs enabling a large variety of applications, including monoclonal antibody capture, nucleic acid extraction or viral vector purification.
Our magnetic beads are optimized for the use in our MAGic™ Accio platform as well as all other manual and robotic systems such as the KingFisher™ Flex unit (Thermo Fisher) allowing the use of our beads in automatic setups for high-throughput screening.
Antibody purification
MAGic™ Beads Protein A
MAGic™ Beads Protein A offer one-step clarification and capture of monoclonal antibodies, eliminating the need for centrifugation, depth filtration and Protein A affinity column-chromatography. Super-paramagnetic porous beads coupled with an alkali resistant Protein A ligand.

MAGic™ Beads Protein G
MAGic™ Beads Protein G offer one-step clarification and capture of monoclonal antibodies, which do not have an affinity towards Protein A. It eliminates the need for centrifugation, depth filtration and Protein G affinity column-chromatography. Super-paramagnetic porous beads coupled with a Protein G ligand.

Custom purification
MAGic™ Beads ACT
Our pre manufactured custom ACT beads for your in-house coupling of ligands. Any ligand containing amino groups or thiols, e.g. proteins and peptides can be covalently bound to the beads using a simple process. All steps are performed at physiological conditions and room temperature, without using any hazardous reagents or organic solvents. After coupling of the ligand, the magnetic beads can be used for affinity purification and immunoprecipitation.

MAGic™ Beads Streptavidin are super-paramagnetic porous beads optimized for streamlined extraction of biotinylated proteins for your customs needs. The exceptional magnetization, low magnetic reminiscence and high binding capacity enables fast capture in a magnetic field and rapid resuspension with minimized power input.

MAGic™ Beads Ni-IMAC
MAGic™ Beads Ni-IMAC are superparamagnetic porous beads optimized for streamlined extraction of biomolecules carrying a polyhistidine tag. An
NTA ligand is coupled to the porous magnetic beads and loaded with nickel ions to obtain a matrix with affinity for histidine residues. The exceptional
magnetization, zero magnetic remanence and high binding capacity enable fast capture in a magnetic field and rapid resuspension with minimized
power input.
