MAGic™ Accio systems
Magnetic separator systems for any scale
MAGic™Accio systems are a series of magnetic separators, optimized for the use with our MAGic™Beads, ideal for a large variety of bioseparation applications. MAGic™Accio has been optimized for the easy and efficient capture of magnetic beads from crude sample mixtures at any scale. The systems can be easily operated in manual mode (LAB and PILOT) or with automation.
Our manual units are designed for durability with a lacquered plastic shell and nickel-plated neodymium magnets placed safely inside. They fit standard test tubes and are available in sizes from 1 ml to liters. The MAGic™Accio Systems are designed to GMP specification with fully automation to reduce manual interventions resulting in faster and more secure processing. The systems offer an excellent option for preparative purification of various target molecules integrated with our bead technology.
MAGic™Accio LAB and MAGic™Accio PILOT are designed to fit standard test tubes and containers in sizes from 1 ml to 2,000 ml.
MAGic™Accio PROCESS are larger systems engineered for the process manufacturing with efficient capture of 1-40 liters of magnetic beads from high volumes of complex feedstocks.
MAGic™Accio LAB
MAGic™Accio LAB are designed for research lab, small-scale processing of nucleic acids, peptides, proteins, antibodies or viruses from crude sample mixtures like serum, whole blood, ascites, food-samples or unclarified cell cultures performed in volumes from 100 µl to 2 ml. Utilizing 10-200 µl of MAGicBeads together with the MAGicAccio LAB cube or LAB rack enables fast, reliable and easy separation of up to 6 mg of proteins per each tube via serial or parallel-process manual configuration.
MAGic™Accio PILOT
MAGic™Accio PILOT perfectly supports the development phase, medium-scale processing of nucleic acids, peptides, proteins, such as antibodies and viruses from clarified- or unclarified cell-culture mixtures. The separation is performed in sample volumes from 5 ml up to a couple of liters. The use of the MAGic™Accio PILOT 50, MAGic™Accio PILOT 500 and MAGic™Accio PILOT 2000 together with 20µl – 250ml of settled MAGic™Beads offers a durable, convenient and rapid separation platform for manual processing via serial or parallel configuration. By combining the different MAGic™Accio units, low expressed target peptides and proteins can be captured from a large volume and then washed and eluted in a smaller sized vessel, thus achieving a significant product concentration.
MAGic™Accio PROCESS
MAGic™Accio PROCESS are our large fully automated magnetic separator systems, made for efficient capture of 1-40 liters of MAGic™Beads magnetic beads from large volumes of complex feedstocks. During the production phase of biopharmaceuticals, large-scale recovery of the product from an unclarified cell-culture is performed in a one-step clarification and purification by using the proprietary designed MAGic™Accio PROCESS units together with our MAGic™Beads. The magnetic separators are capable to capture up to 40 liters of MAGic™Beads at high flow rates making them suitable to process up to kilograms of proteins or antibodies per purification cycle and fully integrated in existing manufacturing workflows.
